STLAFC closed out the USAFL Regular Season with a match up against Chicago. With the normal grounds at Buder Park reserved for a soccer tournament that magically didn't occur the day it was scheduled for, St. Louis found itself on a smaller field but was exactly what was needed as both side showed lower numbers and the long season of travel and injury limps towards the finish line. On Saturday, St. Louis opened the back half of their season with a three game homestand. A 3 pm ball up gave birth to an unseasonal cooler temperature of 80°F. Captain Alex Tajkowski and Joel Friesen, who had their first taste of international play in the 49th Parallel Cup in 2023 as Development Squad players, received the nod to join the top squad of the USA Revolution. USAFL staple and local legend, Dan Sarbacker, who has ties to both St. Louis and Madison decided there was a need for some more friendly competition in the Midwest. Former player and assistant coach, Richard Lozano, takes over as senior coach of the St. Louis Australian Football Club for the 2024 season.
