Known for their innovative beers and strong community ties, Perennial Artisan Ales will sponsor the St. Louis Australian Football Club throughout the 2025 USAFL season.
The Saint Louis Australian Football Club is proud to announce a new partnership with Perennial Artisan Ales. Founded in 2011, they are a staple in the St. Louis community and the craft beer scene. The team at Perennial are no strangers to winning awards and with this sponsorship, STLAFC aims to continue their climb in the United States Australian Football League's (USAFL) competition.
Founded in 1997 as an inaugural club in the USAFL, St. Louis has not reached a primary sponsorship agreement with a local business before. "Aussie Rules is not a large sport in the United States so not many businesses are jumping at this unique opportunity. In Australia, smaller football teams are helped along by the community around them and with Perennial partnering with us, we aim to build on this momentum to offer a strong STL brand." said Stephen Zenishek, Treasurer of the Saint Louis Australian Football Club. With the backing of Perennial, STLAFC hopes to expand its reach, attract new fans and create memorable experiences on and off the field.
"We're really excited to have the opportunity to sponsor a team. We've never really had a chance to do that in the past" said Phil Wymore, Founder and Owner at Perennial Artisan Ales. "We're starting to get a little bit more reach in the community with our beer." With that growing reach, fans of Perennial beers and devout cyclists can look forward to Perennial's next location "Perennial on the Trail" coming to Grant's Trail in the future.
Jack Choler, Sales Manager at Perennial Artisan Ales, who helped the club secure some cases of beer for the recent Slab Tournament, has also been a strong proponent of forming this partnership. "I thought it was a cool and interesting thing. I know St. Louis is definitely a sports city so having another team around is awesome."
Club President Mark Politz called the partnership a milestone for the team. "Partnering with Perennial Artisan Ales is going to help elevate our club to the next level. Whether it's a place to cool off after training or watch AFL games, Perennial is a fantastic partner and we look forward to working with them."
The partnership will be visible throughout the season with Perennial branding featured on team guernseys, training tops, website and game day media. Guernseys and training tops will be available to order through Play Aussie later this season. In addition to primary sponsorship, Perennial Artisan Ales will also serve as the primary pub. You can expect to see STLAFC at the main location on Thursday nights after training as well as after home games
As both organizations look ahead to a successful season, Stephen Zenishek aims to have his day on the brewing equipment to produce a club branded beer.
