Dave originally found the game in 2010 by invitation from a player who never played again once he stepped on the field. The first half of his career was spent running the wing and through the guts as a ruck rover. He moved to the back line in 2018. One of the best in the club to hit a player on a lead, he couldn’t kick a goal if his life depended on it. His status of all time Blues behind kicker has solidified his place on the back line as a founding member of The Great Wall, the trio of himself, Dalton Foster and Mark “Pinky” Politz. Despite his gift of kicking behinds, he is making a push to get himself forward for the first time in his career.

When he’s not on the track you can find him having a sneaky pint at the pub or in the backyard smoking meat with a bottle of wine and Steely Dan’s Can’t Buy A Thrill. His Spotify Wrapped listed his top 3 songs as 1. Playing With The Boys, 2. Playing With The Boys, and 3. Playing With The Boys and his account is number 1 in the world for plays of the Kenny Loggins banger. Rounding out the top 5 is of course Hey Nineteen by Steely Dan and Santana’s Oye Como Va. Closing in on the age of 40, he is hopeful of logging 20 seasons and 150 games played before retirement, where he can sit in the pocket drinking piss and abusing the opposing team and umpires.
