2025 Board Elected Unanimously

The 2025 Board election results are in! With a vote of full confidence, the members look to take great strides in 2025.

Mark Politz will make the climb from Vice President into the role of President and looks forward to strengthening the presence of Australian Football in the Midwest.

James Heuston, a self-proclaimed lifetime footballer, was elected as Vice-President. He will bring an array of skills into the leadership and help propel the club to the next level.

Stephen Zenishek will remain as Treasurer for the fourth consecutive term. After securing funding to pay for hotels and rental cars at the 2024 National tournament, Zenishek is eager to build off last season’s successes and look for sponsorships to help secure new Sherrin’s for the upcoming season.

Carlos Nascimento is a first-time board member and was elected to the position of Secretary. After some time away from the club and a triumphant return, Carlos has injected new passion into the club and will be a fantastic addition to the board.

Rhiannon Duryea will serve as Member at Large for a second consecutive year. A glutton for punishment, Duryea will serve as a liaison between players and board to make sure all member concerns are addressed and help ensure the club is running efficiently.

In addition to the voting members of the board, two non-voting seats have been created and filled. Dave Zitko, while not slinging drinks at his hot new cocktail bar No Ordinary Rabbit, will be head of Football Operations and assist in ensuring training, game and metro schedules are set and training grounds are secured. Newcomer Zach Schmidt will take on the role of Marketing Manager. With a current background in marketing, Zach is excited to start working on the algorithm to get the STLAFC brand out to a broader market.
